Thermal Power Business
Thermal power is CR Power’s strategic development priority, focusing on developing large-scale coastal thermal power plants, heat and power cogeneration plants, and coal-electricity integration projects in the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan area, Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta, and the areas along the major coal thoroughfare, east coast, and national UHV transmission lines. CR Power maintains the position of an industry leader as it continuously improves energy utilization efficiency and reduces emission. As at June 30, 2013, CR Power has 36 coal-fired power plants in operation with total attributable installed capacity of 23,292 MW and is able to generate electricity ofup to 167.7 billion kWh annually.

Coal Business
CR Power’s coal business, mainly located in Shanxi, Henan, Hunan, Jiangsu, Inner Mongolia, Guizhou and other provinces, produces, processes and also distributes high-quality coal resources. Via new modes of transportation and sales channels, establishing logistics and technology near its production areas, coordinating with the development of thermal power projects and striving to become a high quality coal supplier that creates value for customers in China. CR Power currently has stakes in 11 coal enterprises that operate 44 different mines. The annual approved capacityis 41.52 million tons.

Renewable Energy Business
In the renewable energy sector, CR Power constructs and operates wind farms in regions with plentiful wind resources, including the southern, northern, eastern, northwestern and northeastern areas in China. In southwestern China, CR Power develops, constructs, and operates high-quality hydro power plants along major rivers, and develops distributed energy projects in suitable developed regions. Meanwhile, CR Power strategically invests in nuclear power stations, monitors and has feasibility studies on photovoltaic power generation. The proportion of clean and renewable energy in CR Power has reached 10.6% of its total capacity, and as at June 30, 2013, CR Power owns 44 wind farms with total attributable installed capacity of 2,414MW and two hydropower plants operating with total attributable installed capacity of 280MW.
