On December 13th, China Resources Xiexin (Beijing) Thermal Power Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Beijing Project”) won the Silver Prize of “Environmental, Health and Safety Award” in the selection of 2019 Hong Kong Green Awards organized by the Green Council of Hong Kong.

The selection of “Hong Kong Green Awards” has been one of a series of public welfare activities carried out by the Green Council. Held annually since 2010, it aims at commending enterprises displaying outstanding performance in environmental protection, health and safety, continuously improving management levels, firmly fulfilling social responsibilities, and having extensive influence in Hong Kong.

Adhering to CR Power’s green development concept, Beijing Project has been committed to the development of clean energy and integrated energy services with the goal of “high standard and high ideal”, opening up to the public, coexisting in harmony with the government, local enterprises and residents, and promoting local economic development and ecological civilization construction. This award is a full recognition of the work done in environmental protection, health and safety by the project company.

Beijing Project, put into commercial operation in June 2006, has been the first gas-steam combined cycle heat and power co-generation project in Beijing. Through continuous technological transformation and innovative development, it has gradually formed a user-centered “4 + 1 + N” operating model based on multi-energy complementation with “4 + 1” at the core, where “4” refers to combined supply of electricity, steam, hot water and cold water, and “1” represents the task as the black-start power supply point for Beijing Power Grid, and “N” refers to the construction of photovoltaic and energy storage projects for users to reduce energy costs.
