On December 29, the Launching Ceremony of CR Power New Energy Chaoyang 1,000MW Wind Power Project was held in the People's Hall of Jianping County, Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province. Wang Xiangming, Chairman of China Resources Group, delivered a video speech. Xie Weidong, Mayor and Deputy Secretary of Chaoyang Municipal Party Committee, Cao Zhigang, President of Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology Co., Ltd., and Shi Baofeng, President of CR Power, attended the event.
Located in Jianping County, CR Power New Energy Chaoyang 1,000MW Wind Power Project is divided into four unit works. It is planned to install two hundred 5.0MW wind turbine generator systems, and connect to the grid with full capacity by the end of 2024, when it will provide more than 3.4 billion kWh of clean energy power generation annually. This project is a model of business synergy in China Resources Group and the first new energy base project of CR Power to be commenced with a capacity of one million kilowatts. It is of great significance to build a clean energy supply base for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region in northeast China and facilitate local economic and social development.
Wang Xiangming said in his speech that this project marked the further deepening of the strategic cooperation between China Resources and Chaoyang, and jointly opened a new chapter of cooperation between central enterprise and local government. He stressed that CR Power and China Resources Snow Breweries should scientifically organize and efficiently cooperate to advance the project construction, and make concerted efforts to build the Chaoyang Wind Power Base Project into an excellent project for the purpose of early completion, operation and effect. The two sides were expected to keep expanding the cooperation in depth and breadth by relying on Chaoyang's resource endowment, location advantages and China Resources' industrial diversification advantages, so as to do their part to the all-around revitalization of Northeast China.
Shi Baofeng pointed out in his speech that under the continuous care and support of Chaoyang Municipal Party Committee and People's Government, CR Power would surely stride into a new stage of new energy development in Chaoyang. Moreover, CR Power would make scientific organization and efficient synergy to fully advance the project construction, strive to put the project into operation as early as possible, repay the trust and support of the government with concrete actions, and make greater contributions to the construction of the national clean energy base in Chaoyang City.
On behalf of Chaoyang Municipal Party Committee and People's Government, Xie Weidong extended his warm congratulations on the launch of the project. He pointed out that the launch of the project added a pillar for Chaoyang to build a national clean energy base; all stakeholders were expected to speed up the project progress for early completion and operation, build an excellent project of wind power generation, a model of cooperation between central enterprise and local government, and a demonstration project of green development, and provide a strong new driving force for Chaoyang's high-quality economic and social development.
