On November 6-18, 2022, the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) was held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. Heads of CR Power Shenshan Company and CR Power Guangdong Run Carbon Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Run Carbon Technology") participated in the "China Pavilion" online or on site.

The "New Progress in Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) in China" was hosted by the Climate Change Department of Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and organized by the CCUS Special Committee of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences, Global CCS Institute (GCCSI), and China Resources Group. The head of CR Power Shenshan Company detailed the development history and latest progress in CCUS, and said that CR Power was striving to build a world-class CCUS test platform with credibility, carry out the research on key technologies for carbon capture and the efficient use of carbon dioxide, and push forward the feasibility study of a million-ton CCUS project, in an effort to enhance the comprehensive service capability in carbon neutrality. In the future, CR Power will continue to increase investment to break a green, safe and efficient energy path to carbon neutrality.

Initiated by the National Energy Administration and the China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute, the "Clean Energy Promotes Electricity Access in Africa" is committed to helping Africa accelerate the production and development of clean energy. A total of 20 international organizations and enterprises responded to the initiative. In combination with the development characteristics of Africa, the head of Run Carbon Technology innovatively proposed the renewable energy development of "algae light CCU integration", and had in-depth exchanges with the leaders of SPIC, POWERCHINA, Tsinghua University and African energy authorities on the opportunities, prominent issues and suggestions for energy development in Africa. Besides, Run Carbon Technology would respond positively to the initiative for technical cooperation, and promote the implementation of the China-Africa demonstration project of "Algae Light CCU Integration", thereby contributing to the "Clean Energy Promotes Electricity Access in Africa".

COP27 attracted about 40,000 participants, including representatives from more than 190 countries, regions and international organizations and personages of all circles. This is the second time that CR Power has participated in the "China Pavilion" at the UN Climate Change Conference after the COP23 in Bonn, Germany in 2017. COP27 showcased the innovative practices of CR Power in climate change, clean energy development, carbon capture test platform and CCUS technology research, which allowed CR Power to make its voice heard internationally and further enhanced its influence in China and even the international community in addressing climate change.

In the context of national "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" goals, CR Power has actively explored new models of carbon emission reduction. In 2019, CR Power Shenshan Company built a multi-technology carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) test platform that is "the third largest in the world and the first in Asia", capturing 20,000 tons of carbon dioxide annually. Run Carbon Technology, a subsidiary of CR Power, has carried out research on the utilization of carbon dioxide, and built the microalgae carbon sequestration and dry ice conversion project to realize the effective utilization of captured carbon dioxide resources. At present, Run Carbon Technology has successfully developed carbon verification, carbon inventory, zero carbon certification, carbon footprint, research on the pathway to carbon neutrality, forestry carbon sink and other businesses, with a full range of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" consulting services.
