On May 21, the People's Government of Dongguan convened the "2021 Investment Fair for Strategic Emerging Industries in Dongguan". Liang Weidong, Secretary of Municipal Party Committee of Dongguan, Xiao Yafei, Mayor of Dongguan, and Hou Yongjie, Vice President and General Manager of CR Power South China Region were invited to attend the fair, on which a strategic cooperation agreement for the smart energy industry was signed between them.

According to the Agreement, the CR Power South China Region will join hands with energy scientific institutes and enterprises such as Huawei, Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory, Power Supply Bureau of Dongguan, and Architectural Design & Research Institute of Tsinghua University to invest in the application and promotion of major technological equipment, smart city construction, construction of new energy industry clusters by giving full play to their advantages in technologies, capitals and industrial chains, thus contributing to the building of a strategic emerging industry base in Dongguan.

The Vice President Hou Yongjie had a dialogue with the Secretary Liang Weidong and the Mayor Xiao Yafei about the business development of CR Power in China, the planning and construction of Dongguan's emerging industry base, and the progress of the demonstration project of first set of domestically produced major technical equipment. In addition, Hou also met Lin Feng who is the President of the 703 Research Institute of CSIC, and Huang Xuejie who is the Deputy Director of Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory, Institute of High Energy Physics Chinese Academy of Sciences, and discussed with them about the implementation of cooperation in Songshan Lake distributed project, Dalang large-scale gas turbine peak-load regulation project, and Songshan Lake Science City comprehensive energy project.

Governmental officials such as Liu Wei, member of Dongguan Standing Committee and Secretary of Party Working Committee of Songshan Lake National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, Yu Lijun, member of Standing Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, Wan Zhuopei, Vice Mayor, and Wu Zhigang, Secretary General of Municipal Party Committee, as well as relevant personnel from CR Power South China Region and Guangzhou Company participated in this activity.
