At the National Summary and Commendation Conference on Poverty Alleviation Achievements grandly held in Beijing on the morning of February 25, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the State and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, presented awards to the winners of honorary titles of national poverty alleviation models and delivered important speeches, and outstanding individuals and collectives across the country were also commended on their poverty alleviation achievements. Zuo Junjie, Deputy General Manager of Northeast Region of China Resources Power (in charge of work), former Deputy General Manager of South China Region of China Resources Power and General Manager of China Resources Power (Hezhou) Co., Ltd. was commended on the spot and awarded the title of "National Outstanding Individual for Poverty Alleviation".

During his work in Guangxi, Comrade Zuo Junjie, as a representative of the provincial and municipal people's congresses, actively practiced the responsibilities of central enterprises for poverty alleviation driven by the patriotism and sense of responsibility as a member of China Resources. After three years of unremitting efforts, his push for "Hezhou-to-Guangdong Power Transmission Project" for poverty alleviation finally worked based on the "Cooperation Platform for Poverty Alleviation in Guangdong and Guangxi Provinces" established by the central government, and the Project was approved to be extended for another three years, which is expected to increase the local industrial output value by RMB 4.95 billion and tax revenue by RMB 225 million, and will help the local area consolidate poverty alleviation achievements and with rural revitalization.

Meanwhile, he pushed for the implementation of the first batch of incremental power distribution network pilots across China, further extended the circular economy industry chain, and coordinated the introduction of the Chinese medicinal herbs planting project of China Resources for poverty alleviation, benefiting more than 3,000 poor people; he led the establishment of a charity fund that offered more than 60 neighboring poor students a chance to go to university; during the epidemic, he coordinated the donation of more than 40 tons of disinfectant to the community for free, and was successively awarded the Outstanding Individual of China Resources Group for Poverty Alleviation, Guangxi May 1st Labor Medal, Outstanding Entrepreneur, Hezhou Labor Model, and Outstanding Individual for Poverty Alleviation.

Comrade Zuo Junjie and Hezhou Power Plant are outstanding representatives and vivid epitome of China Resources Power's multiple initiatives to help alleviate poverty. Over the years, China Resources Power has worked on industrial poverty alleviation, cooperation with the government in new energy projects for poverty alleviation, consumption poverty alleviation, poverty alleviation donations, and education poverty alleviation with its original intention and mission always in mind. During the "13th Five-Year Plan", it contributed over 200 million in poverty alleviation funds, directly benefiting more than 40,000 poor people from more than 15,000 poverty-stricken families.
