On September 9, the 2020 Chinese Energy High-quality Development Summit and Energy Industry Poverty Alleviation Achievement Seminar sponsored by the China Energy News agency are held at Beijing. Experts from entities such as the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the China Electricity Council and the Development and Guidance Department of the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development and nearly 100 representatives from energy enterprises attended the meeting. At the meeting, CR Power was granted with the title "Chinese Energy High-quality Development Investigation and Survey Base", the wind power poverty alleviation project of the South China was rated as the “Energy Poverty Demonstration Project”, and several cases such as the "ACG Assisting in Construction of Strong Smart Power Grid", "Turning Sludge into Wealth", "carbon capture test platform" as well as "exploration of new green development mode and building of new wind power poverty alleviation mode" were included into the Set of Energy - High-quality Development and Poverty Alleviation Achievement Cases.

It is learnt that the Chinese Energy News agency has been collecting and investigating typical cases about energy high-quality development and energy poverty alleviation in the period of the "Thirteenth Five-year Plan" from governments at all levels and energy-related enterprises and public institutions since this July, in order to comprehensively sort out and display typical cases and precious experience in the energy industry in the process of transformation, development and poverty alleviation. Relevant cases selected during the activity constitute the Set of Energy - High-quality Development and Poverty Alleviation Achievement Cases of China. In particular, cases about energy high-quality development are classified into six sectors: party, masses and party building, structural reform, scientific and technical innovation, energy conservation and emission reduction, environmental protection and international cooperation, and energy poverty alleviation achievements include power poverty alleviation, new energy poverty alleviation and industry poverty alleviation.
