On July 24, the Centre of Business Sustainability ("CBS") of the Chinese University of Hong Kong ("CUHK"), in conjunction with the CUHK and the SGS of Hong Kong, has issued the first session of "Greater Bay Area Business Sustainability Index" (GBABSI). CR Power is ranked the 7th, a "forerunner" among 67 evaluated enterprises. Along with the increasing economic importance and international attention of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, enterprises of the Greater Bay Area impose more important influence on society and environment. With the view of encouraging and supporting enterprises to thrive in a responsible way and make contributions to the sustainable growth of the Greater Bay Area, the CBS launched the GBABSI in 2019. The GBABSI is prepared once a year. The 67 constituent enterprises of the HSSCBBA are invited to fill in questionnaires online as per their public materials, and the sustainability performance of the enterprises is evaluated in three aspects: values of corporate social responsibilities (values), management and practice of corporate social responsibilities (process) and impact of society and natural environment (impact) is made. According to results of the first session of GBABSI, about 60% of enterprises among the aforesaid 67 constituent enterprises are rated as "explorers" (below 50 points). By virtue of outstanding corporate social responsibilities fulfilled, CR Power has excellent results in terms of all assessment categories, and is rated as "forerunner" (80-89 points). The sustainability performance of CR Power in 2019 is highly recognized by the authoritative evaluation agency of Hong Kong. It is learnt that investigation results will be issued by the press release of the CUHK Business School, the CBS website, the supplement of the Hong Kong Economic Times, the Supplement of Nanfang Metropolis Daily and other websites, and will provide references for international community.
