On January 16, Vice Mayor of Shenzhen Huang Min went to CR Power Haifeng Power Plant to inspect the construction of the flexible sludge disposal and recycling industry center and the progress of smoke plume whitening, accompanied by President of CR Power Tang Yong and Vice President Hou Yongjie.

Huang inspected the construction site of Haifeng Power Plant's flexible sludge disposal and recycling industry center and the main production areas such as the fully-enclosed coal yard, the green shore power terminal and the flue gas treatment environmental protection facilities. The vice mayor held a meeting after gaining a deep understanding of the construction progress of the flexible sludge disposal and recycling industry center and the preparation work for smoke plume whitening.

At the meeting, President Tang Yong said, entrusted by Chairman of China Resources Group Fu Yuning, he expressed his warm welcome to Vice Mayor Huang Min and his gratitude to Shenzhen Municipal Committee and Shenzhen Municipal Government for their long-term support for China Resources Group. As a responsible and diversified Central enterprise, CR Power will, as always, actively support the construction of Shenzhen's leading demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics and of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, thus making its due contribution to the city's ecological civilization construction and sustainable development. Located in the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone, Haifeng Power Plant has the advantages of location, environment, industry and scale. It will, following the principle of "high standard, high starting point, fast pace and sustainability", do a good job in the municipal sludge disposal from the perspective of serving the national economy and the people's livelihood and urban public utilities, and put into operation the flexible sludge disposal and recycling industry center on schedule. At the same time, it will combine the vision of the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone to build a special new city with domestic benchmark significance and world-class level to ensure the timely completion of smoke plume whitening transformation and the high-standard integration into the planning of the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone.

 
Huang Min expressed his gratitude to CR Group for its contribution to Shenzhen's economic and social development over the years, as well as CR Power's efforts to dispose of municipal sludge in Shenzhen and to promote the work on smoke plume whitening. Under the background of the new era, the vice mayor said, Shenzhen is shouldering the new mission of building a leading demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics and of setting an example of a modern powerful city of socialism. We hope that CR Power will seize the significant development opportunity of the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone, build and put into operation the demonstration project of the flexible sludge disposal and recycling industry center on schedule with high standards, high requirements and high levels, and realize the goal of "harmlessness, reduction and recycling" in sludge disposal in Shenzhen as soon as possible. At the same time, in combination with the high-starting-point construction plan of the Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone and the high requirements of green development, efforts will be made to accelerate the transformation of smoke plume whitening as soon as possible, carry out the demonstration of the second phase of energy project, and build the Shenzhen-Shantou Energy Ecological Park so as to make greater contributions to the sustainable development of the region. Shenzhen Municipal Government will provide a first-class business environment and fair, transparent and compliant preferential policies so as to realize mutually-beneficial and win-win development for both the government and the enterprise.

 
After the meeting, President Tang Yong and Vice President Hou Yongjie inspected Haifeng Power Plant and had cordial talks with the staff on duty of the Intelligent Centralized Control Room and sent greetings to all the employees working on the frontline.
