On December 4th, the 2019 Annual Meeting of China Energy Research Society (CERS) was held in Beijing. Nearly 900 people attended the meeting, including academicians and authoritative experts in the energy field, leaders of relevant government departments, members of CERS, as well as representatives from energy enterprises and scientific research institutes. Hu Min, President of CR Power, and leaders of relevant departments were also invited to attend the meeting. The meeting commended outstanding innovation projects and individuals, and CR Power received multiple awards including the second and third prizes of Energy Innovation Award and Outstanding Energy Science Popularization Works given by CERS.

During the meeting with the theme of “Efficient Development of China’s Energy—Reasonable Energy Increment and Structure Optimization”, the participants carried out intensive discussions focusing on promoting energy structure optimization and efficiency improvement in China, accelerating the establishment of energy-saving society, and building clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy system. Besides, the meeting commended CERS Energy Innovation Awards and Outstanding Energy Science Popularization Works, and awarded the Energy Science Education Base. The “National Incremental Distribution Network Pilot + Comprehensive Energy Service Provider Management Innovation” of CR Power’s Hezhou Project won the second prize in the management category of Energy Innovation Award, and the project “Economic Operation of ‘One-Three-Six’ with the Aim for Maximum Profit” of Nanjing Chemical Park won the third prize in the management category of Energy Innovation Award. Guo Ruilai, Deputy Technical Director of Hezhou Project was awarded Outstanding Young Energy Technology Worker, and the “Small Class” Special Column in CR Power’s WeChat Official Account was awarded Outstanding Energy Science Popularization Works, which was one of the only two WeChat works among the 27 award-winning works.

It is reported that CERS Energy Innovation Award has been included in the Catalogue of National Social Science and Technology Awards, which aims to promote academic, management and technological innovation in the energy field, accelerate the construction of modern energy innovation system, and commend the achievements of academic, management, and technological innovation in the energy field , as well as units and individuals making significant contributions. The selection of Outstanding Energy Science Popularization Works aims at promoting the development of energy science popularization and the creation of science popularization works, improve the quality of science popularization works, and encourage scientific and technological workers to create actively to widely popularize scientific ideas, methods and knowledge.
