On November 21st, the 14th China Power Media Cup National Power Industry Outstanding Film and Television Works Exhibition and 2018 China Power News Award (Film and Television) Work Selection and Award Ceremony were held in Luzhou, Sichuan. China Resources Power won the Best Organization Award for its 8 film and television works participating in competition all winning awards.

Among them, Green Development and Better Life—Enterprise Tour Series of China Resources Power submitted by the Holding Company won the second prize of China Power News Award (Film and Television) and the first prize of China Power Media Cup (Comprehensive Topics Category); Watching the Lights of Thousands Families created by Southwest Region and Our Story made by Central-West Region won the first prize of China Power Media Cup (Micro-film Category); Free like a Dream from Jiangsu Region won the second prize of China Power Media Cup (MV Category); Growth Ring—Documentary Film of CR Neihuang 400MW Wind Power Project from Central-West Region and Thanks for Your Company Along the Way from Cangzhou Yundong Project of North China Region received the third prize of China Power Media Cup (Comprehensive Themes Category), Enriching Lives and Nurturing Dreams from Neihuang Project and One Minute of Shouyang from Shouyangshan Project of Central-West Region won the third prize of China Power Media Cup (Propaganda Film Category).

Established jointly by China Electric Power Newspapers and Periodicals Union and China Power Media Group in 2005, China Power Media Cup has been the highest-ranking, most authoritative, extensive and influential event in the film, television and news fields of the power industry in China. It is known as the Power Oscar. This year’s competition has attracted nearly 1,800 film and television works from more than 600 enterprises in national energy and power industry. The works were divided into 14 categories, including news, news topics and comprehensive topics, etc. After half a year’s exhibition and review, the winners were finally selected based on the comprehensive evaluation of expert review, online reading and on-site voting. 2018 China Power News Award (Film and Television) was selected from the first prize winners of Power Oscar within the following categories: news, news topics, comprehensive topics, documentaries, and live broadcasts. Green Development and Better Life—Enterprise Tour Series of China Resources Power became the first film and television work of CR Power to win this award.
