On June 21, CR Power released its 2018 Sustainability Report, which was the company’s ninth annual sustainability report. The report systematically disclosed the work done and performance made by CR Power in fulfilling its corporate social responsibilities in the previous year, and was rated five-star (Excellent) by Corporate Social Responsibility Research Center under Chinese Academy of Social Sciences for the fourth consecutive year.

With the theme of “Starting from the Heart”, this report tells two stories in the beginning, “Wind blows happiness” and “Solving mud trouble for the city”, showing the company’s courage to take responsibilities based on the characteristics of the industry in targeted poverty alleviation and ecological protection. Besides, the report also reveals CR Power’s major policies, practices and achievements in safety responsibility, shareholder responsibility, environment responsibility, employee responsibility, customer responsibility, community responsibility and corporate governance in detail with the main thread of “With” through five parts of the report, including “building a security line with responsible soil protection”, “driving stable operation with proper management method”, “protecting the blue sky and green water with reasonable usage”, “joining hands with staff to develop with right growing path” and “creating a better life with persistent practice”, effectively responding to concerns from various stakeholders. This report also responds for the first time to the company’s implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) undertaken from United Nations.

With reference to the GRI Standards by Global Reporting Initiative, the CASS-CSR 4.0 by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, ESG Report Guidelines by Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and other latest and relevant international standards for the evaluation of sustainability indicators, as well as the opinions and suggestions from stakeholders, CR Power further optimized report preparation and information disclosure, and promoted the management and practice level of the company’s sustainable development work. At the same time, in order to improve the credibility and transparency of the information disclosed in the report, CR Power invited independent third parties to conduct data verification for some key indicators in the report for the third consecutive year.
