Chairman Li Ruge Attends 2019 Work Conference of CR Power and Delivers Speech

On March 26, CR Power held its 2019 work conference themed "developing the industry with cohesive force" in Jinan, Shandong Province. Li Ruge, member of China Resources Party Committee, chief accountant and Chairman of the Board of CR Power, as well as relevant leaders of the Group's Strategic Management Department, Finance Department, Audit Department, and Intelligence and Information Department were invited to attend the conference. Nearly 300 people from the Holding Company's management team, departments and offices, major regions, coal branches, relevant units and project companies, as well as holding managers were present.

 

In his speech, Chairman Li Ruge affirmed the company's achievements in the past year in the areas of production and operation, structural adjustment, quality improvement and efficiency improvement, breakthroughs in key and difficult issues, and improvement of corporate governance. He analyzed the domestic and international economic situation and the environment of the electricity market. Combining with the company's current problems and challenges, he stressed that the company should implement the high-quality development requirements at all levels and take energy revolution and industrial transformation as the direction. With clean and low carbon, safety and high efficiency as the main line, and revolving closely around the "Five Adherences" and "Four Abilities", the company should make overall plans to push on with various work on steady growth, structural adjustment, transformation, reform, innovation and Party building, and accelerate the pace of building a world-class clean energy enterprise. Chairman Li put forward requirements for the company's key work in 2019. First, it is necessary to carry out energy transformation and transformation in an intensive way to realize green, low-carbon and sustainable development. Second, the company should adapt to the new requirements of deepening the reform and strive to improve its market operation ability. Third, the company must adhere to driving innovation and strive to promote transformation and upgrading. Fourth, it is necessary to strengthen management control and strive to improve quality and efficiency. Fifth, the company must operate according to law and conduct standardize management to effectively prevent all kinds of risks. Sixth, the company must strengthen Party building and cultivate cadres and talented people who are down-to-earth at work. He stressed that in 2019, the company should fully implement the decision-making and deployment of the Group's Party committee with strong determination and confidence to make new and greater contributions to building CR Power into a world-class clean energy enterprise as early as possible through its unremitting efforts, enterprising spirit of reform and innovation, and pragmatic work style.

 

In his work report, Hu Min, Party Secretary and President of the Holding Company, elaborated on the optimization, adjustment and completion of the company's strategy during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period. He pointed out that the company would adhere to the "3+1" business strategy, i.e., "vigorously developing clean energy, actively establishing presence in electricity sales and comprehensive energy, doing an excellent job in thermal power" and "steadily expanding international business", while focusing on the "3+2" strategic initiative, i.e., "improving asset quality, strengthening capital operation, providing service management" + "developing industrial advantages, promoting + Internet integration", striving to achieve the strategic goal of "increasing the proportion of installed clean energy to 30%" by 2020. President Hu comprehensively summarized the company's overall operation and seven key tasks in 2018, commented on the performance of each region and coal branches in 2018, and reflected on the problems existing in the company's businesses such as electricity sales, wind power construction, internationalization and comprehensive energy services. According to the work in 2019, five key management themes have been identified, including "Party building, quality development, smart operation, innovation and transformation, and organization". Management measures have been deployed in detail, which has pointed out the direction for CR Power's annual operation and development. He stressed that managers should consciously enhance their "market awareness" and "overall-situation awareness" and carry forward the three spirits of "responsibility", "innovation" and "diligence" to make unremitting efforts to build CR Power into a world-class clean energy enterprise trusted by the public and preferred by customers.

 

Ge Changxin, member of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Board and Senior Vice president of the Holding Company, presided over the conference and made an introduction speech, explaining the theme of "developing the industry with cohesive force".

 

During the conference, the attendees were divided into groups to discuss how to implement the spirit of Chairman Li Ruge's speech and President Hu Min's work report and released the corresponding results. The conference also commended the units and outstanding employees who had won the best project development award, the best engineering construction award, the best operation management award, the best electricity market development award, the best fuel purchasing award, the fitness contribution award, the best technology innovation award and the best management innovation award in 2019.

 

The conference aimed to summarize the company's operation and development as well as weaknesses existing in work in 2018, and to clarify CR Power's key work, target direction and action measures for the “13th Five-Year Plan” period and the year of 2019. Through the conference, managers will further band together to achieve unity in thinking and lead all employees to lay a solid foundation for the company to fully realize all tasks in 2019 and the strategic goal set for the “13th Five-Year Plan” period.
