Located in Chenzhou City of Hunan Province approximately 200 km from Guangdong Province, Liyujiang B Power Plant is one of the PRC Government's West-to-East power projects. Consisting of two 650MW coal-fired generating units, the Power Plant is equipped with desulphurization and other environmental facilities. The two units commenced commercial operation in June and August 2007, respectively. Electricity generated is sold to the Guangdong provincial power grid under China Southern Power Grid Company via its own designed 500 kV transmission line. The Power Plant's coal supply is mainly sourced from coal mines within the local vicinity. CR Power is the sole shareholder of the Power Plant. |
