Located in Zhumadian City of Henan Province, Gucheng Power Plant is a mine-mouth project sourcing coal from coal mines in the vicinity where there are abundant reserves. Consisting of two 300MW coal-fired generating units, the Power Plant is equipped with desulphurisation facilities. The two generation units commenced operation in September and December 2006, respectively. Electricity generated is sold to the Henan provincial power grid under the Central China Power Grid. China Resources Power owns a 90% equity interest in the Power Plant.
