Mr. Song Lin, was appointed as the Chairman of the Board and an executive director of the Company in August 2003. He is also the Chairman of the remuneration committee of the Company. Mr. Song is an executive director and the president of China Resources (Holdings) Company Limited (immediate holding company of the Company) and China Resources National Corporation (the ultimate holding company of the Company), the chairman and an executive director of China Resources Enterprise, Limited ("CRE") and the chairman of China Resources Logic Limited ("CRLogic"). CRE and CRLogic are fellow subsidiaries of the Company and their shares are listed on the Stock Exchange. Mr. Song has extensive experience in the electricity industry in China. He was involved in the overall project development in various parts of the PRC, including specifically the development of Changshu Power Plant, Shouyang Shan Power Plant and Liyujiang Power Plant. Mr. Song also has extensive experience in corporate investment, development, merger and acquisitions. Mr. Song holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanics from the University of Tong Ji in Shanghai.
